Extra Activities

Clubs create the opportunity for children to be involved in different activities outside the classroom curriculum and with students from other years. Regular clubs at SJIS include tea ceremony, piano, karate, music, soccer and extra Japanese tuition. In the upper student years, additional term-time seasonal clubs are offered including: cooking, book club, craft and science.

Extra Curriculum activities create a fantastic opportunity for children to be involved in activities that are external to the core school curriculum, helping to broaden their social development and learn new skills.

As students progress through the years they are also exposed to a range of activities that includes inter-school debating, inter-school sporting programs and visits with other International Schools.
